How to Play ‘Crazy Taxi’ Online Game
The rules of the game are pretty simple. In ‘Crazy Taxi’, the player is in control of a taxi manoeuvring through a maze of cars. Using the left and right arrow keys to jump lanes and the up and down arrow keys to control the speed of the car, the object is to get the taxi to cover the required distance before the time runs out. What happens when the taxi gets stuck behind a row of cars? Use the space bar to jump right over them! If only real taxis could use the same trick. There is a catch – players must control their speed and timing so that they don’t bump into the car in front or land before they clear the length of the car. Every badly-timed jump slows the crazy taxi down.
The ‘Crazy Taxi’ Craze
The ‘Crazy Taxi’ online game takes its name from the arcade game with the same name that appeared in 1999. Players assume the role of the taxi driver and earn money by picking up passengers and dropping them off at their destination in the fastest time possible. They can also earn tips by performing crazy stunts before the time runs out. ‘Crazy Taxi’ was immensely popular in the arcades, leading the developers to create a console version of the game as well. The game sold over a million copies and the developers have since created ‘Crazy Taxi 2’ and ‘Crazy Taxi 3’ with additional locations and features. The ‘Crazy Taxi’ online game is a simplified version of the original, and enjoys great popularity in spite of its simplicity.
